Each year Newbury College has been offering a part-time course on beekeeping. The instructor is generally a Newbury beekeeper. The more people who sign up, the more resources the College can make available and the better the course becomes. In 2007 and 2008 the response has been good and the classroom course was followed by a practical course held in a local apiary. The 2009 classroom course is due to start on 27th January and run for six Tuesday evenings. The practical course will also run in 2009 if the demand is high enough, on weekend afternoons from May to July.
